You will depart from Vat Xieng Thong, a sacred monastery that echoes the royal and spiritual heritage of Laos. Wat Visoun, the oldest temple in the Lao style, provides a hint of the country’s architectural history, whereas Wat Mai is the largest and most decorated temple in Luang Prabang. You will witness Asiatic black bears that have been rescued and safely housed in the sanctuary of Kuang Si Bear Rescue Center.

The trip continues to Kuang Si Falls, whose turquoise water cascades into relaxing pools, perfect for a cooling swim. Rice fields and villages en route border the countryside, providing a window into rural life.

Afterward, board a boat for a scenic cruise along the Mekong River, where peaceful countryside views unfold before you. Deep within the Pak Ou Caves, discover thousands of Buddha statues placed by pilgrims over centuries. Along the way, you’ll stop at Ban Xanghai to witness the making of traditional Lao rice wine, then explore Ban Xang Khong, where artisans craft delicate Saa paper. As the sun sets, return to your hotel and unwind after a day rich in culture and discovery.
